Carson River Resort Cabins

Carson River Resort has seven rustic cabins nestled among the pine trees by the east fork of the Carson River. All cabins are non-smoking.

There is a minimum two night stay on the weekends, three nights on holidays.

The Miner's Cabin (#1) Moved from historic Loope Canyon over 60 years ago. Two bedrooms (two twin beds & queen), bathroom with shower, and a large kitchen. Sleeps four.

The Waystation (#2) Two double beds and bathroom with shower. Sleeps four.

The Alpine (#3), The Monitor (#4) and The Silver Creek (#5*) Classic 1940's Sears & Roebuck kit cabins. Each cabin has 2 double beds, bathroom with shower, and a kitchen. Sleeps four.

Lord and Lady Chalmers Suite (#6) The Chalmers Suite is a Sears & Roebuck kit cabin designed for 2 guests. This cabin has a kitchen, a queen size pillow top bed and features a bath with a large claw foot bathtub/shower. Sleeps two. No pets are allowed in the Chalmers Suite.

The River Cabin (#7) Situated on the River, location of the 1927 romantic novel The Looted Bonanza., this cabin is a favorite! Relax on the deck or fish in the waters a stone's throw away. The River Cabin has a bedroom with a queen size bed and a great room with a double bed, kitchen, and a wood burning stove. Sleeps four.

All cabins are non-smoking.

All cabins include bedding and towels.

Cabins with kitchens are equipped with a basic set of pots and pans, plates, glasses, silverware, stove, microwave, small refrigerator, coffee pot, and toaster. Guests are responsible for providing all food items including seasonings and condiments.

Each cabin has a picnic table and a charcoal BBQ grill for outdoor dining.

Heat is provided by propane heaters in all but the River Cabin. The River Cabin has a woodstove with backup electrical heat.

ALL prices are subject to change. Rates are based on 4 people. Additional charges will be made for extra vehicles, persons, and pets. Additional people are $10/night and additional vehicles are $5/night.

RESERVATION POLICY: We are pleased to reserve your cabin or campsite by phone. A 50% NON-refundable deposit is required at the time the reservation is made. Your deposit in the form of credit card, check or cash will be accepted. A three day minimum is required for holiday periods. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations will result in loss of deposit.

PET POLICY: Pets are allowed in any cabin except the Lord and Lady Chalmers Suite (Cabin #6). Leashes are required and we all appreciate your use of your "pooper scooper". There is a $15 charge per pet per stay.

Located on Highways 4 and 89 on the east fork of the Carson River, 2.5 miles south of Markleeville, the southern gateway to Carson City and Lake Tahoe.
